We have considerable experience in reviewing collection options for residual waste and kerbside recycling and delivering more efficient round structures that are fully optimised. Our services cover basic round reviews and analysis of the spare operational capacity on vehicles, through to complete collection service restructuring and optimisation.
We use our in house team to challenge existing round structures, develop new rounds and fine tune these with input from council supervisors and operational staff. This delivers new rounds that are practical for the crews, keep day changes to a minimum and historically offer cost efficiencies of 10-20% for even the most efficient councils, with similar savings in carbon (NI 185).
We also have experience of implementing changes to collection services, such as through the incorporation of new materials onto recycling collections or assisting with the setting up of incentive schemes.
